SOOT SAGA: How Ready Are You To Shutdown The Town? Nigeria Info OAP, Masterminds Street Protest.

Maryann Duke Okon, one of Nigeria's finest on-air-personalities has intentionally masterminded a street protest this morning via her twitter page. The "Morning Cross Fire" Host on Nigeria's No.1 Talk Radio, Nigeria Info, explicitly tweeted, having been at the mercy of the controversial soot currently causing some health harvoc in the city of Port Harcourt.

According to a resident in Port Hacourt (name withheld), "the soot appeared in November last year". The advent of this soot has since become an issue of concern to the residents of Port Harcourt as it is mostly pronounced in the morning according to a reliable source. The activities of illegal oil refinaries and burning tyres for scrap coppers have been attributed to be the cause of this unprecedented occurrence in few months.

In a bid to call on those capable of putting and end to this environmental harzard, particularly the government, The On-air-personality contributed her quota which to a large extent, has a long way to go in tarnishing her reputation when seen from a negative perspective. On the other hand, if at all, this call she makes gain massive response by the residents in Port Harcourt, then it could earn her a heroine award in the sight of Port Harcourt residents and beyond. You would recall that legendary Innocent Idibia, popularly known by his stage name Tuface, once planned a protest like this in Lagos State, Nigeria, but ended up canceling the protest unceremoniously a day before the planned and anticipated protest. The planned protest which gained momentum with several prominent Nigerians across the country pledging to be part of it was unceremoniously annulled with the claims that it could be hijacked by hoodlums and could turn out violent. Rumor has it that some folks masterminded the cancelation of the planned protest as it was centered at correcting some obnoxious policies implemented by the current administration (FG).
