This is proved to be true by one of Port Harcourt's celebrated acts, Bukwild Da Ikwerrian. The Afro-Hyration artist took to his twitter account and made his thought explicit to his fans on social media yesterday.

Known for his latest hit single, the 'Uche' crooner, whose song have recieved massive airplay in various media stations revealed how the people of Port Harcourt find it difficult to fraternise with their own artists. They careless about their stars and do not see them as celebrities while they go around celebrating other artists away from the city. As it's noted in the Bible, "A Prophet is not honored in his country", that has turned the issue with most celebrities in Port Harcourt.

If Bukwild could make such a tweet on twitter, how true is this tweet of his? Knowing that he rose to prominence in this city and his songs first gained massive airplay in the city of Port Harcourt before he broke out to other cities and countries. To be sincere, his tweet must have resulted out of a beef he must have had with someone. Just a thought though. But the fact that Pitakwa (as noted by Uche Crooner) doesn't get carried away by a home based Artist's success is true and have been proven overtime.

Lastly, he tweeted, if you are an artist that is being appreciated by Port Harcourt people then such artist should give thanks. I think he should be the first person to give thanks because undoubtedly, he is being celebrated.
