MENTAL SHIFT: SON OF MAN Talks About Preparation, Governor Wike's 'A Night With The Governor'

Comedian Son Of Man's "Metal Shift Series" which is always made public made every week, particularly on Mondays, is here again. The comedian who seem to have turned a motivational speaker and doer is here with another beautiful piece he tagged; "Preparation". This tag is such that has been a force behind the the success of many great individuals. Now "Son Of Man" seems to be more enlightened on the subject of "Preparation". Let's reading his enlightening articule for this week.

PREPARATION!

One thing that has never seized to cry for expression in my heart since the beginning of this year is PREPARATION.

In our day to day activities, we can't do without preparation. There is saying that goes thus, "if you fail to plan, you've planned to fail". Planning starts with preparation. Preparation on a particular course is the mother of success.

My father, Debo Adeleye will say to me 'Preparation is the mother of manifestation'.

Success will never be successful without preparation. Some define success as 'Preparation meeting Opportunity'. That's to tell you the place on preparation.

Pilot Daniel Okwara in his teaching during the "Talkaholic Power Up Camp" practically thought us about preparation and since then it stocked to my memory.

I want to become a doctor.... Prepare
I want to become the richest man of my generation.... Prepare
I want to share stage with great entertainers in this world... Prepare.

It doesn't come by dreams or mere saying or even by prophesy.

Something happened in my City, the Governor hosted an event tagged 'A night with the governor', featuring entertainers from other states and indigenous acts not featuring entertains who are based in the city. Many got upset while majority criticized the event. I wasn't featured though.

Yet in the midst of the grievance, I asked myself a question "Am I prepared to perform before the governor and other noble men of the society again and again?" Because when I start I will go back again and again. The answer I got within myself was "you're 'PRE' not Prepared". Checking my materials, It won't take me there again and again. Therefore, I need to prepare properly which I am doing already.

Preparation is a gradual process, it could take six months, one year, five years, twenty years, etc as the case may be.
Let give an instance of Joseph in the Bible. Before Joseph met king pharaoh in the palace when pharaoh needed an interpreter to interpret his dream. Joseph gradually prepared, shaved his beads, changed his clothes, Looked smart with a good smelling perfume.

Do you think king pharaoh would have made him a Prime Minister if he was putting on his back some prison cloths?

He took time to prepare himself even when the king needed him quickly.
Preparation is the mother of success.
You want to be the next President, Governor, Senator, etc and you don't belong to any political party.

You ain't prepared at all.

Prophesy follows a preparatory process.
